Jason deChambeau

As Director of Interiors for KCCT, Jason leads the firm’s interdisciplinary interiors studio with a focus on high-performance, mission-driven environments. He brings a refined, strategic approach to design, aligning stakeholder goals with thoughtful design solutions grounded in placemaking, technical precision, and long-term value. During his tenure with KCCT, he has significantly elevated firm-wide design dialogue, fostering critical discourse and organizational forethought.
Prior to joining KCCT, Jason established a distinguished portfolio of complex, large-scale interior design projects across the corporate, legal, and public sectors. He led award-winning build-to-suit headquarters and workplace transformations that balance performance with aesthetics across a wide range of typologies, from law offices and courthouses to technology, financial, and cybersecurity headquarters.
At KCCT, Jason leads interior design direction across a growing body of civic building, campus, and master planning work. His work supports agency missions through environments tailored to unique programmatic needs, including security requirements, operational demands, and multi-stakeholder interests. He champions interior environments that are adaptive, human-centered, and aligned with organizational purpose, supporting health, well-being, and inclusion. These design strategies promote cleaner air, safer water, cognitive and physical wellness, and workplaces that are among the most compelling places people go each day.
Intrinsic to Jason’s project methodology are collaborative visioning sessions that bring possibilities into focus. He guides clients through an ideation process to articulate their goals, challenge assumptions, and explore new directions within the parameters of stakeholder alignment, security, and budget. His depth of knowledge in design philosophy and cross-sector best practices allows him to translate ideas into thoughtful, executable strategies that support long-term operational success.
Jason’s work has been recognized by the AIA and featured in leading industry publications. He is a frequent speaker at conferences both domestically and abroad, and serves as a guest lecturer and capstone mentor for design programs in the US.
