KCCT Joins the AIA 2030 Commitment

KCCT has officially joined the AIA 2030 Commitment, aligning the firm with a national framework dedicated to achieving carbon neutrality in architecture by the year 2030. This milestone reflects KCCT’s ongoing dedication to integrating sustainable design into all aspects of our practice and leadership.
The AIA 2030 Commitment provides a structure for firms to track and improve their project performance in pursuit of Net-Zero emissions. For KCCT, this is a formal step toward embedding sustainability more proactively into both daily operations and long-term strategy.
As a long-time leader in complex, mission-driven projects around the world, KCCT recognizes our responsibility to lead by example. The firm’s pledge centers on balancing environmental performance, social responsibility, and the long-term health of the practice, an approach known as the “triple bottom line.”
Historically, sustainability efforts at KCCT have been shaped by client expectations and regulatory compliance. Moving forward, we are focused on becoming more intentional and forward-thinking, leveraging our diverse portfolio and expertise to guide clients, influence peers, and support broader decarbonization in the built environment.
Efforts include educating clients on energy-conscious design decisions, reducing office energy usage, investing in staff development, and pursuing new project opportunities that prioritize sustainability innovation.
With this commitment, KCCT continues to evolve as a firm that not only delivers high-performance buildings, but also helps define what responsible design leadership looks like for the future.
