Charles Munson

Drawn to the technical and organizational challenges of large-scale public architecture, Charles brings a deep command of building systems and construction documentation to KCCT’s domestic and international studios. His expertise lies in bridging design vision with technical precision, delivering specifications and documentation that ensure design intent is realized in construction.
At KCCT, Charles works in a project support capacity as a specifications lead, while also performing technical design tasks for multiple building types, reviewing project submittals, and coordinating with multiple engineering and specialty disciplines. His portfolio spans civic, cultural, and institutional architecture, including several of the most public-facing landmarks in Washington, DC’s monumental core. Within KCCT’s international studio, he contributes to the delivery of new embassy campuses, security upgrades, and highly specialized secure tenant fit-outs.
Before joining KCCT, Charles led construction document production, code review, and project management for new government, commercial, and light industrial buildings, as well as for complex renovations and transportation facilities. A Construction Document Technologist and LEED Accredited Professional, he integrates sustainable design principles with a technical foundation to advance KCCT’s mission of environmental stewardship and precision in execution.
