Andrea Nichols

With a portfolio spanning civic, residential, and mixed-use development projects, Andrea integrates sustainable design strategies, advanced digital workflows, and technical coordination to deliver projects that balance performance and innovation. Guided by curiosity and precision, Andrea supports multidisciplinary teams through all phases of project development, advancing design and environmental stewardship for complex, multi-stakeholder projects in geographically diverse contexts.
As an active member of KCCT’s BIM Ambassadors group, Andrea leads efforts to refine digital production standards and mentor staff in the implementation of emerging technologies. She led the coordination and development of KCCT’s first Sustainability Action Plan, aligning project work with measurable performance and climate goals to inform the firm’s participation in the AIA 2030 Commitment.
Andrea’s commitment to civic engagement reflects her belief in the role of architecture to enrich communities. As Co-Design Chair for the 2025 DCBIA Community Improvement Day, she led design initiatives, permitting, and build-day multidisciplinary volunteer teams in the revitalization of public space within Anacostia Park to transform an underserved area into an accessible and educational community resource.
