KCCT Principals Highlight Design Leadership at AIA24

KCCT Principals Paul Phillips and Gayle Kirchmar contributed to key conversations on resilience, innovation, and the future of project delivery at the 2024 AIA Conference on Architecture & Design, held in Washington, DC
At the Public Architect Symposium, Phillips joined a panel of experts from the Department of State and HDR to discuss the evolving framework for resiliency policy in diplomatic design. The team presented as a case study their collaboration on the development of a comprehensive framework that addresses the global diversity of risk while standardizing resiliency metrics across all diplomatic facility types. The tool allows the Department of State to make optimized hazard vulnerability assessments for their 26,000+-facility portfolio.

Kirchmar was a panelist on the Future Forward: Project Delivery Knowledge Community Open Forum, joining industry leaders to examine the evolution of project delivery systems. The panel explored how innovative approaches, such as integrated delivery models and emerging technologies, are reshaping practice across architecture, engineering, and construction.
KCCT is proud to contribute to national discourse on both policy and practice, reinforcing the firm’s leadership in design for complex, high-performance environments.
