KCCT designed the renovation of the Chief of Mission’s Residence (CMR) and the Deputy Chief of Mission’s Residence (DCR) for the U.S. Embassy in Bridgetown, Barbados. The scope of work included a site survey, report, cost estimate, and complete A/E services for the renovation of two single-story residences.

 

The Embassy Main Residence:

The 137sm EMR known as “Las Cibeles” was small even by category 3 Embassy standards. Interior renovations included enclosing the entrance foyer, a living room expansion, kitchen renovation, and north and south wing renovations. Exterior improvements included a covered entrance, a courtyard canopy, and swimming pool renovation. HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems were upgraded.

 

The Deputy Chief of Mission’s Residence:

The 192sm DCR exceeded the requirements for a category 3 post. Improvements included interior renovations in the west and east wings, site and landscape restoration, and HVAC, plumbing, and electrical improvements.
