The scope of work under the program at the U.S. Embassy Complex in Recife, Brazil included both physical and technical security systems. Physical security improvements included perimeter guard booths, perimeter walls and fences, passive vehicle barriers, vehicle entrance sallyports with active vehicle barriers, security doors, windows, and window grilles, and the upgrade of public access control areas and hardline walls. Technical security improvements included CCTV, security lighting, door controls, intercom, emergency notification, irritant dispensing systems and intrusion detection.
