Exchange Place Transportation Center

KCCT provided the architectural design and construction administration for this major train station in Jersey City, New Jersey. New entrance structures, tunnel ventilation, and deep escalators provided a brighter image for this major metro transit hub. The designers clad the building in high performance silver-grey aluminum paneling with a soft rose banding with red trim and polished stainless steel accents. They chose grey granite for the walls, plaza, and stair treads. This facility was projected to handle in 1998, 9,000 passengers a day.
