THOMAS L. TWOHEY, AIA
Of South Riding, VA passed away on July 31, 2017 after a brief illness. Born November 27, 1933 in San Francisco, Tom was a graduate of the University of California, Berkley where he studied architecture. Tom met his great love Margaret and moved to Vienna, VA where they spent 41 years together and raised their three children, Maura of South Riding, VA; Michael of Fairfax, VA; and Jonathan of Vienna, VA. Tom was a founding member of the KCCT architecture firm in Washington, DC, where he had a long and fulfilling career with projects spanning the globe. After his retirement, Tom continued his travels and took great pride in showing the world to his grandchildren, Hannah, Margaret, Jack, Emma, and Michael Karry of South Riding. Tom is predeceased by his parents and his beloved Margaret. Tom's life will be celebrated with a Memorial Mass at St. Mark Catholic Church, 9970 Vale Rd. in Vienna at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 4, and the family will be receiving guests after the service at the home of his son, Jon.
