Spain / U.S. House Spanish Cultural Center

Spain/U.S. House accommodates major cultural and diplomatic initiatives by the Government of Spain.  The adaptive reuse of the historic residence involves spaces for exhibitions, lectures, concerts, receptions, and an addition for that houses a new café and kitchen.  The gardens were redesigned and provide outdoor spaces for public events. The ground floor serves as the principal exhibition and reception area.  It was restored to its original architectural style and updated to state-of-the-art communications, lighting, and security.  The ornate wood trim at the floor base, door and window frames, and wall paneling was restored to their original finishes.  Additionally, the high relief plaster moldings were repaired and painted to compliment the décor.
