Moscow U.S. Embassy Renovation

Following a fire that left the Chancery roofless, KCCT was called on-site immediately to develop an action plan to restore the building and operations. The schematic plan coordinated the relocation of critical embassy offices, communications, and support facilities to secure temporary quarters on the embassy compound. This initial project and the stainless steel roof replacement led to a series of renovation and rehabilitation projects that spanned a decade. Given the historical significance of the mid-twentieth century building, the exterior design restored and replicated the original details, ornamentation, and colors. Interior work included space planning, office layouts, and the integration of vital communications and security requirements.
