National Building Museum

To address the need for transformation, the General Services Administration hired KCCT to assist in the adaptive reuse of the former Pension Building. Over a ten year span, the design devised sophisticated solutions and 43 galleries by providing such ideas as individual air-handling units for each space. On the exterior, the landscape plan for the park around the building includes numerous walkways and entrances. In a juried competition the national American Institute of Architects picked the National Building Museum as one of 40 projects to be published in their book, Historic Resource Facilities.
