Valletta New U.S. Embassy Compound

KCCT organized the site plan around Bronze Age and Roman archeological remains discovered during excavation. The central courtyard features many of these found artifacts. In an effort to conserve water, the design incorporates underground cisterns to collect more than 90% of rainwater runoff. This eight building complex includes the Chancery, three access control facilities, MSGQ quarters, a warehouse, a utility building, and a recreation building. Design and construction totaled 24 months.
