The Pavilion at the Old Post Office

To complement the "Pavilion" retail development within the Old Post office, a multi-level retail expansion was created. This new three-story urban infill structure takes full advantage of the courtyard adjacent to both the IRS building and the Old Post office building on Pennsylvania Avenue. Using a multi-media theater as an anchor, the expansion supplements the Post Office project with 60,000 sf of retail space on two levels and 18,000 sf of food service at the mezzanine level. The glass enclosed sky lit atrium serves as a winter garden for the government offices within the Federal Triangle and supports more traditional retail tenants, and creates a setting for major events, retails venues, a multi-media theater, and vibrant restaurants.
