Completed in 15-months, the design for this new Annex Office Building complements the existing compound. The design is organized around an entrance lobby with an open stairway illuminated with clerestory skylights. Covered walkways shade pedestrian spaces between buildings on the compound, while a green roof and front roof terrace overlooks the existing compound plaza. Sunshades on the exterior windows protect the interior spaces from direct solar gain. The project incorporates physical, technical, and environmental security measures and meets U.S. Department of State criteria for sustainable design.
