Last week, KCCT welcomed Miriam “Mimi” Hood, the firm's new Office Manager. Mimi came to DC nearly 30 years ago to study architecture at Howard University, and her passion and positive attitude quickly landed her a place in the workforce.

She joins KCCT from DC’s Leo A Daly where she spent the last three years in administrative, HR and IT functions. When the opportunity at KCCT presented itself, Mimi was instantly drawn to the firm’s focus on diversity.

“As soon as I went on the KCCT website, I knew I wanted to be a part of the team,” writes Mimi. “The first thing that drew my attention was the diversity in the team!  The second was the list of projects across the world, and lastly was the warm and fuzzy feeling I felt during my interviews with Kevin and the Principals.”

Mimi has spent many years traveling the world herself and growing up with family in the Army and Air Force allowed her to learn about a broad range of cultures. Her unique experiences have shaped her approach to teamwork, and her positivity and enthusiasm help bring everyone in the office together. Particularly during these uncertain times, Mimi hopes that some light and laughter will help connect all of KCCT’s employees as they navigate remote work.

“I look forward to getting to know my new work family and learning as much as I can from all of them.  Laughter gets me through most days, and I love a good joke.”

KCCT is thrilled to have Mimi on the team as the firm continues to grow and evolve.
