Department of State Main State Modernization
Given the historic nature of the building, the interior design approach was cognizant of the aesthetic of original details from the early 1940s. A unique palette of finishes, based on contemporary reinterpretation of historic elements, created rich interiors for over 200,000 sf of new office space, an in-fill auditorium, and conference center. Interior services for the comprehensive building modernization included programming, space planning, build-out, and FF&E.
