Manila Embassy Main Residence

Originally designed by local architect Gabriel Formosa in 1962, this residence exemplifies contemporary residential architecture of the period; the design exhibits large and flowing interior spaces and indoor-outdoor relationships with extending garden walls. The renovation of the Ambassador's residence significantly improved the space functionality within the living room, dining room, kitchen spaces, and expanded library, as well as the addition of powder rooms, secretary's office, and two bedrooms. Other improvements to the home increased energy efficiency with upgrade windows, lighting, HVAC, and electrical systems.
