Employee Spotlight: Larry Cook, AIA

Larry is a Senior Designer at KCCT! He has comprehensive experience, skilled in the management of all aspects of architectural projects from inception through completion for institutional, educational, and government facilities. Larry holds a clear understanding of architectural design intent, user needs, and project goals as the basis for continuity throughout the design and construction process.

 

In Larry’s free time, he enjoys making photo journals on his walks around Capitol Hill.

 

What made you want to be a Designer? 

Like many architects I know, I had settled on becoming an architect by the ninth grade (Junior High). 

 

What project are you most proud of at KCCT? Why? 

The Australian Embassy

 

What is the most important bit of information about you that you would want a client to know? 

I want clients to know that I am on their side!

 

If you had to pick one strength you bring to the team, what would it be? 

I bring a varied professional background that gives me perspective for decision-making.

 

What motivates you at work? 

I appreciate my project colleague's sense of teamwork – and humor!

 

What do you like to do in your free time? Or hobbies?  

enjoy making photo journals on walks around my Capitol Hill neighborhood.

 

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? 

 As a young kid, I wanted to fly airplanes!
