Michael Zajkowski leverages his 33 years of experience and broad range of expertise in federal, embassy, education, commercial office, and medical buildings as a senior project designer for KCCT's international and domestic studios. His designs for the US embassies in Zagreb, Croatia and Moscow, Russia were published in "Building Democracy: The Architecture of American Embassies," and his projects have garnered 13 industry awards, including NAIOP Best Building and WBC Craftsmanship Awards. Characterizing his role as one that makes workplaces better, he utilizes his knowledge of a wide range of market sectors and building types to do just that. His portfolio of work exceeds 100 projects and ranges from a 3,000 SF school addition to a five million SF mixed-use center.

A native of the Midwest who later grew up in Florida, and now a 25-year resident of Vienna, VA, Michael is an avid gardener, photographer, traveler, and wine and spirits aficionado.
