Michael Erickson's years in the federal sector, including 22 years of business development experience and 21 years of military service, afford him a unique expertise in federal agency and Department of Defense (DOD) procurement, which he leverages to drive and manage strategic capture for KCCT's growing portfolio of federal agency and DOD design-build construction efforts. In this capacity, he develops and implements capture plans, facilitates internal and external partnerships with both the government and general contractors, and provides oversight on federal pursuit strategy. Michael's federal procurement acumen enables him to build winning A&E teams and ensure a robust pipeline of future opportunities for KCCT.

As an honorably retired, decorated veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Michael's military career served as a springboard into his business development career. He has lived in, worked in, and traveled to over 44 countries, supporting and managing numerous complex programs and interacting with a broad spectrum of industry experts and tradespeople, all of which honed his understanding of industry-wide best practices. He has captured this knowledge in numerous white papers and an eBook about government contracting, published by the Library of Congress.

Michael is heavily involved in local outreach through numerous Washington, DC Freemason organizations that provide need-based support to underserved members of the community. He routinely supports Military Transition Management Assistance Programs for veterans exiting the military and seeking to repurpose their skills in civilian trades. Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid reader, traveler, wine enthusiast, and linguist.
