Helen Negussie is a Senior Architect at KCCT where she has been working primarily with the Domestic Studio since 2010. Helen serves as a project architect and has worked on a range of projects from interior renovations to campus-wide planning efforts.  Helen’s background ranges from commercial buildings to  historic building modifications. Helen’s recent KCCT projects include the Australian Embassy in Washington, Potomac Hill Campus Renovation Projects, the Hungarian Embassy Renovation, and US Diplomatic Facilities in Beirut, New Delhi, Muscat, Monterrey, Bishkek, and Belgrade. Helen is an experienced project architect who brings a high level of innovation, creativity and collaboration to projects and assignments.

Originally from East Africa, Helen earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Houston, and her Masters of Science in Climate Change and Sustainable Development from De Montfort University in Leicester, United Kingdom. Helen has served as a judge for the Washington Building Congress Craftsmanship Awards, and she participates in the WAF Architecture in Schools Program.
