Karn Charuhas Chapman & Twohey (KCCT) Principal-in-Charge Enrique A. Bellini, AIA oversees KCCT’s regional practice in Washington, DC, Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia. His portfolio includes the management of complex architectural changes to highly sophisticated and multi-use structures such as modernizing federal monuments; preserving historic sites and court facilities; updating cultural and public assembly spaces; and overseeing the security of government buildings with public use. Balancing his interest in the preservation of historic structures with adaptive re-use opportunities, he focuses on a broad range of civic projects including office buildings, libraries, museums, court houses, conference facilities, food service institutions, and secure facilities. Notable examples of his work include the adaptive re-use of the National Building Museum in Washington, DC and the Department of State Main State Modernization. In addition, Mr. Bellini’s work has been the recipient of several prestigious awards including three GSA Design Excellence awards for the Ariel Rios Façade Completion, the IRS Facades, and the National Building Museum Boundary Markers, as well as three awards from the American Institute of Architects.

Mr. Bellini received degrees in architecture and planning from the University of Notre Dame, as well as served three years in the US Army, where we acted as an architect for master plans of US Army Installations in Japan.
