Designer Charis Armstrong works on international and domestic projects. In her role, she seeks to encourage a circumspect approach to the creative process, with the aim of representing well-rounded concepts through a variety of media. Her professional interests include Building Information Modeling (BIM); sustainable building design and design retrofitting; rendering and project visualization; and the incorporation of Japanese design principles throughout contemporary architecture. In fact, Charis counts Shigeru Ban as one of her greatest architectural inspirations. A recent graduate of the University of Virginia, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture (Honors) in 2017. Charis feels that her KCCT coworkers are the company’s greatest asset and enjoys being introduced to new methods from her tenured colleagues. In her free time she enjoys studying the Japanese language, drawing, plant keeping and reading.
