Azhuri Williams draws upon a diverse skill set, developed through a background in education, public infrastructure, commercial, and residential design, for KCCT's international studio. His systematic and straightforward project approach enables him to build long-term, collaborative relationships with each of his clients. Originally a designer for educational spaces in northern California, Azhuri transitioned to public-sector projects that included police stations, civic buildings, and performing arts centers, and he now plays a key role in the delivery of KCCT's new embassy campus projects in Doha, Qatar and Praia, Cape Verde.

With a unique entrance into the architectural field, Azhuri was originally a chef, where he found himself imagining different spatial arrangements and envisioning spaces as they could be. During his pivotal career shift into design, he found surprising overlap between the two industries. This included the use of raw materials in construction compared to the raw ingredients in a kitchen, both to deliver an end product that is unique, not of the norm, and meets the needs of the end user. In his spare time, Azhuri is an outdoors enthusiast, including golfing, camping, and hiking.
