Alex Zondlo recently joined KCCT with a versatile background that spans multiple market sectors, including retail, education, civic, office/workspace, and healthcare projects. Specializing in higher education and retail structures, he has applied his client-focused approach to base building and interiors, as well as renovations ranging from small to complete building repositioning. His approach dictates that project success is defined by the client, and his goal is to exceed each client's expectations. He views climate change as an imperative consideration for the industry and maintains that, as change occurs and permanent effects begin to take shape, buildings must be designed to respond to these effects.
Alex was a 2019 AIA NOVA ELA Component Nominee for Emerging Leaders in Architecture. A native of Chicago, he currently resides in DC, where he obtained a Master of Architecture and Master of Science in Sustainable Design at The Catholic University of America. He is an active participant in the Northern Virginia Chapter of AIA and, in his free time, is an avid cook, traveler, and reader.
